Hi all I worked as a Scaffolder for 12 years and a Firefighter for 20 years ending up as SS officer. Before I had to retire through Illness. Building my own home I took a fall and damaged my back putting out 4 Lumbar discs and trapping my sciatic nerve and 5 C Spine discs. As being the house owner I was not insured, something they don't tell you when you take out the policy. Unfortunately my spine is so pinched I cannot have an operation so life goes on. I eventually found the reason for my fall, I have Multiple Sclerosis, COPD, Disc Prolapse, Lumbar Spondylosis, Arthritis, Chronic Pain, Muscle spasm, Depression & Incontinence. A nice bucket of problems which all have their own difficulties. I have been riding bikes 40 years and someday it will all come to a halt but until then I'm on the bike. I have lost the use of my right leg twice and my left leg seven times, I have trouble raising my left leg, changing down gears is a killer and some day they will both stop so I just say, Treat today as your last day and enjoy it, as tomorrow might change life forever.
Have Bike, Have Friends, Have Fun.
