The high minded man must care more for the truth than for what people think."

Tricks and treachery are the practice of fools,

"Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble."
~Yehuda Berg

"Being unconquerable lies with yourself; being conquerable lies with your enemy."

"What is essential in war is victory, not prolonged operations.

A leader leads by example not by force.

The general who advances without coveting fame and retreats without fearing disgrace, whose only thought is to protect his country and do good service for his sovereign, is the jewel of the kingdom."
~Sun Tzu

"People are always trying to fuck up other people’s lives by telling lies about’em. You want to really fuck somebodies life up? Tell the truth about’em."

True Blood: Season 3, Episode 1, "Bad Blood"

Passion.
It lies in all of us.
Sleeping, waiting,
And though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir…
Open its jaws, and howl.
It speaks to us, guides us.
Passion rules us all, and we obey.
What other choice do we have?
Passion is the source of our finest moments.
The joy of love,
The clarity of hatred,
And the ecstasy of grief.
It hurts sometimes, more than we can bare.
If we can live without passion,
Maybe we'd know some kind of peace,
But we would be hollow.
Empty rooms,
Shuttered and dank.
Without passion,
We'd be truly dead.
~Angelus

If my religion had a name, I supposed it would be Pabudianity. LOL I am Pagan, Buddhist, and Christian. God is many, but God is one in all.

The Green Witch Grimoire teaches that the God and Goddess are one in the same, and opposite. They are both good and evil, both light and dark, both white and black, both sun and moon. They are both, because all in nature is both. Everything in this world, this universe...this galaxy are joined by one metaphysical gift, our souls. This is the immeasurable energy that binds everything to one another, trees, rocks, animals (furry and human), air, fire, earth, water, etc.

The 14th Dalai Lama tutors us in very simplistic principles:

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.

This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.

Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.

Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.

In the practice of tolerance, one's enemy is the best teacher.

We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.

The purpose of our lives is to be happy.

And last, but not least, Christianity. I am not entirely certain that it was as it was explained in the Bible, but if nothing else...at least Christianity teaches us self sacrifice, unconditional love, and to always do the right thing no matter what temptations, interruptions, and peer pressure may come knocking.

Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of Universal responsibility, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life.

~Dalai Lama

Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace.

~Dalai Lama

With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world.

Rose was born into a predominantly middle class family who had little money to speak of.

Rose's father was a lowly blacksmith, born of poverty. He grew up as the golden child of his family, in the country where he hunted, trapped, tracked, and eventually joined the Kingdom's military. He had been married, and bore one daughter, but he came back from the wars a different person. His wife passed, and by then his daughter had already grown and moved on with her life.

Rose's mother was a clergy to the magistrate, and noble born, though most of her family had passed or was alienated by spite. She had done all she could do to raise her four daughters by herself after having left her vagabond husband. Times were tough, but she met and instantly fell in love with Rose's father.

For many years, the lovers lived together in peace before Rose was born. Being the only child now living at home, Rose was despised by her five half sisters, and Rose quickly learned that life was dominated by men, and manipulated by women. While Rose tried her best to be genuinely kindhearted, she was always such a strong willed, outspoken young girl, and as she grew up, that trait only became more prominent.

It was not until Rose was 23 years of age, that she met a young rogue whom she believed she loved. The bastard had left Rose six months pregnant, and his parting words wished Rose would terminate the pregnancy of their unborn daughter. Rose realized banging away at steel in her father's shop, or aiding her mother was not the only way to live. She wanted adventure and excitement in her life, and so she left the comfort and familiarity of her home to seek it out.

Rose was 29 years of age when her beloved mother passed away from a cancer that consumed the whole of her body. Rose and her father grew distant due to his tyranny. It was only because of Rose's handsome, warrior husband that she survived the loss of her mother. He was fierce, yet, he had taken in a woman, and her daughter as if they were his very own. Such another man could not be found throughout all the land, and she knew that he was her knight in bloody armor. They were destined.
