I have lived in Canada all my life, except for 3 years in the USA while at school. My wife and I mainly traveled in the continental US and Canada with a few trips to Europe, mainly to Germany, where my son lived and played hockey for 20 years.

I graduated from U of Minnesota, took some post-grad work at Carlton U in Ottawa, CAN,-worked for CDN. Federal Gov't all my career, finishing as a senior manager. Retired since 2000. I used to be very active in sports , hockey, baseball, tennis, squash, etc.
Became a real practicing drunk when I was in my 40s, First treatment 1988, 2 more after, and my last March 2011 here in Thunder Bay, ON, where we now live. I have been sober since last September and have been with LR since this past January. I am looking mainly those who can guide me in LR and, who, as I found, did not get what they needed from AA.
