History
------Birth, Resurrection-----
Priorly named Anathema, named by the stranger who had found, cursed and raised her. Later renamed Monet by her birth father Camien. Born from a dark ritual performed on her mother, rejected in the womb and teleported from her body where the stranger had found her deformed and premature but alive. Her cousin Sapphire gave up her own body to be shared by Monet when Monet's deformed body finally shut down on her, the forbidden and dark ritual performed by her parents. Not able to survive long with two souls in one body, Monet's soul was separated from Sapphire's body. Her grandmother sacrificed one of her three forms in order for Monet to have a body of her own that her soul wouldn't reject since they were of the same blood, and thus her true form was finally returned to what she should have been from birth. She now has a healthy, beautiful form of her own that looks identical to her twin brother Mordred.

-----Meeting Family-----
Anathema upon being 'rescued' after rejected from her mother's womb and ripped away from her family (speculations range from this being a punishment by Baracus at the time, or possibly the price for the ritual done by Camien on Rayelina that created Mordred and Monet) was then cursed by the same man, thinking her a monster from her horrid deformities. Anathema (named so for her appearance) grew up forced to hurt others in order to live and stay beautiful without the grotesque deformities returning. The curse forced her to devour others, similar to how her very existence came to be. When the man had put the curse on her, he didn't know how it would play out and later regretted the cruelty he had inflicted upon her.

The curse allowed her to drink of another's blood, allowing her to retain her beauty for a matter of hours... at most, a day. If she ate of their flesh, she would be free from the curse for several days. If she took another's life and consumed their organs, she could be free from the curse for an entire month. As if those requirements were not hard enough, she could only do this ONCE per person; so if she drank their blood, drinking their blood again would do nothing for her. It had to be a unique victim every time.

It was a horrendous curse and caused her to never be able to be close to people. She quickly learned to be precise with blades and was an expert with the dagger and sword by the time she become a young woman (around 14.) Her trades included taking assassination jobs, prostitution, butchery, hunting, and information gathering. She rarely stuck to one place or job for long, due to her curse, and she had to keep running.

One fateful day, Anathema came upon a man in a graveyard where she had been hiding out determining her next location. The world had just freshly been renewed by the All Father Baracus, and (unknown to her at the time) her father had been searching for her mother's grave, who he learned had died not long after his own death at the hands of the demi-god twins Barak and Petra. Her mother had taken her life in order to give power and protection to Anathema's twin brother Mordred who in his vengence later become the God of Evil, nicknamed The Usurper. So as Camien was searching for Rayelina's grave, he was attacked by Anathema. At first, he managed to hold Anathema at bay with his magic, but upon closer inspection of her face he noted her white eyes and similar appearance to Mordred (though Camien only knew of Mordred from his infancy so he couldn't be certain) and faltered, allowing Monet to gain the upper hand and put her knife to his throat. He didn't resist her, but he too hesitated, knowing that the man easily just had the upper hand on her and wondered why he hadn't killed her. It was their mutual curiosity that managed to keep each from killing the other that fateful night.

Camien and Rayelina were later reunited after Rayelina had clawed her way to the surface from her own grave, and discovered that Anathema indeed was their daughter.

Monet's parents were racked with guilt over what had happened to their daughter, neither having ever known she even existed, since when Mordred was sliced from his mother's stomach... Monet was not there with him. Naturally, Monet was adorned with an over abundance of love and affection from that point on, given everything she wanted and needed, including a torture chamber where her parents brought her new victims to satisfy their daughter's curse. Camien provided Monet with a beautiful crimson and gold mask (Anathema was obsessed and attached to masks, refusing to remove them unless she was without her deformity) that she still has to this day even though its no longer needed. Her mother provided her with a dagger that's blade never went dull, encrusted with jewels to match her beauty. Monet's parents spent years searching for a way to cure their daughter of her curse and deformity. It wouldn't be until Sapphire sacrificed her own body that this would be accomplished. Then Dreanna's sacrifice to save both girls, giving them both their own body and soul again.

Monet was reunited with her twin brother Mordred also by mistake, coming upon him one day when both had been displaying acts of magic. It was only then that they felt the curious bond the two shared. Until that moment, Camien and Rayelina and feared Mordred dead; but in truth, he had been resurrected with the rest of the world, but no longer the God of Evil.

----Ascension----
Ever since, Mordred and Monet have been nearly inseparable, only parting when necessary for achieving personal goals. He felt guilt for her circumstances since he had been able to be 'born' and raised by their mother, where she didn't. He set about new goals to gain her and their family the recognition they deserved so they would no longer be outcast to the Borderlands (Carrion), unable to safely walk about the Tyran capital. Baracus had told Camien and Rayelina (after Rayelina had left the Temple of Light) to never return to Tyran, and their offspring would also be outcast.

Mordred was successful in his war against the Queen, Raelle, but lost the castle when Laelia Kaliba set to destroying it. A new castle on the opposite end of the capital was built on an existing manor, renamed Black Thorn Keep where the now King, Mordred, would start the reign of the Vargo family in the capital.

Having secured the position and satisfied the people who had at first rebelled against him, Mordred now felt safe to put his sister Monet in the position of Queen so that he could set to task his next goals. After generations, the Vargo family was no longer outcast and would begin their long-deserved reign over the capital city, Tyran.

Few knew of the circumstances behind them being outcast, but the truth was that it was merely a family disagreement. Rayelina, demi-goddess of Light at the time, was forced to make a choice between the temple and her family (pregnant at the time) and chose Camien and her family. They were outcast from that point on merely over that decision (because people feared Camien who had created chaos and havoc in the land for a long time before that.) In the Vargo family's eyes, they were wronged, and it was finally time for them to be in the light once again... done so by the next generation who refused to be outcast because of their parents choices.
