Personal AdStar Trek is not a label for a nerd: while the other kids were playing baseball and street hockey, I was watching Star Trek, oh and playing baseball and hockey too! ...and eventually played semi-pro ice hockey. Yes, this stigma for Star Trek as being nerd-ish is a persons total utter loss on such a great franchise just over not wanting to try it or be labeled as a nerd. This nerd label for a Trekkie, Trekker or whatever mis-labeled persona towards us fans needs to change so more people give it a chance... then if they do give Star Trek a chance of-course they will love it!
