Throughout the lands in the dark ages disease and the plague consumed the lands killing many whom contracted the deadly pestilence, the first recorded existence of an Drakul was a man named Nathaniel it was during this age that he was stricken with the plague, on the night that he witnessed his family dying before his very eyes he was suddenly overcome with an unnatural urge. Before this time the townspeople sought treatment and when the doctor arrived at his manor he was horrified when he witnessed Mordoch, drinking the blood of his child and he wasted no time in returning to town.
When word reached the townspeople they formed an angry mob and stormed his manor there they witnessed him feeding upon the corpse of his wife they declared him mad and once they had captured him, they return with him to town where he was hanged for this unholy misconduct and was soon buried in the cemetery along with other plague victims, in the following days Nathaniel inexplicably raised from the dead to attack the townspeople in vengeance. The vampire lord drained many of their blood and embraced them with the dark gift thus the Drakul were born.

Not much is known about his past life however long ago Markas was once human as a child he lived a normal life within Dragons Port a village, located in Mynarath when he was born Markas rarely seen his parents his father an infantryman and mother a barmaid, at the young age of 6 years old he was led away to a forest far away from the village by two of his father's friends. Armas a Lythari Ranger from the elven lands of Kelethin however unlike most Elves he chose the path of magic instead of the sword Armas was exiled from his own village and took up residence within Dragons Port after healing and befriending, Andrew Graves the other was Alessia a Half Wood Elf Drow who was at one point a rogue but later studied to become a mage. At a young age her parents were separated and through most of her childhood she lived with her mother in Cheraen after spending, several years there her mother mysteriously died and upon her mothers death Alessia, went on to live with her father in Zelantus there she stayed for many years before deciding to leave on her own terms. She soon traveled and arrived in a town where she was captured and sold as a slave it was there she met Andrew Graves.
Alessia like Armas took up residence within the household and throughout most of Markas' childhood he spent most his time in solitude, training for the next 11 years where he learned, many things one was ultimately how to survive, at the age 17 years old Markas decided that it was time to return home after being away for so long however during the last few days, Armas and Alessia met up with him once again and for the next two weeks, the three of them moved through the lands of Solorian it was during one night of camping that Armas and Alessia explained to Markas. During the eleven years of his absence a group of Drakul who formerly worked for his father killed everyone including setting the village ablaze, Armas continued by telling him all that remained was dust and ashes for the next few months the three of them traveled, to various lands before settling down to live in another town Caeyan when they arrived there the town had been raided many times mostly by Drakuls and Shifters.
With no where else to go it was decided that this would be their new home and over the next several months of living there the three helped, to rebuild the town once that was complete Armas and Alessia told Markas about the Drakuls, who had betrayed his father stating that they managed to track down and killed only five of them. They continued by telling him that the other two were still alive hiding somewhere terrorizing innocence, throughout the various lands with what they had told him Markas ensured that he would find the remaining Drakul vowing, that they would pay dearly for their betrayal Markas now 18 years old was bestowed a sword by Armas. Xeo'Rac a weapon that was used by his father in many battles during his time in the war many years ago and was told, that this sword should be presented to him once when he became of age Alessia stated that it was made from the fangs of giant Shifters. The weapon itself was forged by a blacksmith in Drundar where Armas had taken Xeo'Rac, to a mage camp years prior to have it imbued with magic with his new sword and vengeance set in his heart Markas would set out on his quest for revenge. For the next two years they lived peacefully with the citizens of Caeyan.
However a week before he was to leave the town was raided by a small army of Drakul many who lived within the town were killed, Alessia who fought off the Drakul also perished sacrificing herself for Armas and Markas, with the army defeated, the town buried their dead and began rebuilding their town once again while Markas and Armas buried their fallen friend. A week soon followed where they departed from Caeyan saying their goodbyes before going their separate ways, over the next two years Markas began hunting the remaining Drakul it was during his travels that he came, face to face with one of the Drakul killing him in brutal fashion it wasn't until three years later during his long journey. Where he was finally face to face with the last of the Drakul who had betrayed his father however, Armas told him five years prior when they arrived in Caeyan of Murgoth the main Drakul who was resposible for the deaths of his family.
The information was passed on to him by Alessia herself she told him that Murgoth was a shade sorcerer who was at one point, human until he was possessed by the spirits that he summoned Murgoth was a nomad, named Keltaro long ago he was orphaned at a young age when his parents were killed by bandits at the age of sixteen. With no where else to go he wandered into a desert within Nyrroth and was soon discovered, by a Drakul mage named Donovan who studied various forms of magic including the dark arts. Keltaro from that point on became his apprentice however later in the following years Donovan's keep was was raided by bandits, during the raid he was killed Keltaro became enraged and consumed with anger, upon his masters death he quickly began summoning spirits to aid him however these spirits were too powerful. He was not able to control them and so his mind was warped his form twisted Murgoth became possessed and in the process, was transformed into a Drakul and from that point on Keltaro renounced his humanity. He began calling himself Murgoth and over the years that followed delved much further in the dark arts.
Combining them with his powers of a mage Murgoth became so powerful that his magic was considered and outmatched by that of a necromancer, in addition to having magic the more that Murgoth delved into the dark arts the more his form transformed soon he became a shade, however he managed to maintain his physical form while obtaining superhuman strength and finesse. Murgoth's most potent power was his resistance to death Armas had told Markas that if a shade was not pierced, through the heart they would merely reappear elsewhere much stronger than before, with this very information remembered Markas found Murgoth in the land of Vauldos and after a heated conversation between them. The two ensued in combat the battle between them was long and fierce as each outmatched the other. However before he could deal the finishing blow Murgoth escaped leaving Markas behind. Over the next two years Markas searched through various lands before finally encountering, Murgoth once again in Veridian upon their meeting however they immediately ensued in combat, this time Markas managed to finally defeat Murgoth by plunging his father's sword deep into his black heart.
Now with his vengeance finally served he willingly summoned the very spirits from Murgoth and absorbed them as well as the power, he possessed unto himself although he did not dwell into madness as Murgoth had for his spirit was strong, Markas was able to control them and from that point he became a powerful warrior. Who possessed the powers over the shadows Markas also willingly, became a Drakul and after several years passed he took up residence in Meridian it was there, that he lived amongst the people over time he joined the army. He climbed to the rank of Lieutinent even becoming apart of Xander's conquest, to take over the opposing lands however Xander was overthrown and in the many years, that followed he along with most of his armies remaining retreated to Vauldos. Well over 100 years later Xander advanced to Meridian with his army, then after a long battle Meridian was rebuilt and Xander reclaimed his throne, During his stay there Markas encountered a woman named Kira Valentine and after many years of dating and resentment from her family. They agreed to move far away from them and the years that followed they became husband and wife, in front of many of his kindred however on the night of their marriage, with Kira's consent Markas embraced her with the dark gift of the Drakul. Since then they have taken up residence in Eupheos with their son.

Xeo'Rac - Markas's primary weapon it was once his fathers however it was given to him by Armas and Alessia as a momento long before his transformation it is a custom made two handed broadsword, although since becoming a Drakul and accepting the dark gifts. Markas is able to wield this large blade with one or both hands depending upon his preference in combat, this weapon is located in a custom made sheath which rests firmly upon his back.

Markas is fond of wearing dark clothing because it best reflects his personality and as such he wears a tight fitting black sleeveless shirt, black trousers with a leather belt that fits perfectly around his waist, calf high black leather boots and a dark leather trench coat.

Telekinesis - With this natural ability Markas can move or stop small solid objects, projectile spells and creatures who are as big as a human.
Telepathy - With this ability Markas can communicate mentally with anyone so long as they be within three hundred feet.
Regenerate - With this ability Markas can heal any wound afflicted upon his flesh or reform broken bone.
Children of the Night - With this ability Markas may verbally command lesser creatures such as bat swarms and wolves.
Dominance - With this ability Markas can crush the will of anyone just by looking into their eyes.
Alternate Form - With this ability Markas can assume the form of a swarm of bats, dire wolf or mist.
Shadow Step - With this ability Markas is able to move from one place to another within the blink of an eye during combat. However he mainly uses this to teleport himself or others long distances although must have visited that place once before.

Serpents of Erebos - Upon him invoking the spirits of the damned unto himself these shadow like serpents act as a guardian to Markas, warning him of any dangers although they have a mind of their own and often persuade, him to causing harm to innocence even so they are devoted to obeying him. Shades of Darkness - Through the use of the shadows this power allows Markas to summon two shades from the realm of shadows both mimic his body however they move and attack on their own accord.
Blades of Darkness - Through the use of shadows this power allows Markas to call forth several forms of shadows each one hardening and mimicing, his own weapon the shadow like blades have two specific functions, each one aiding him combat the first function allows the blades to rotate around him. Protecting him from incoming projectiles weather they are coming from the front, sides or behind him, while the second function allows each blade to form behind him in a single arc, then with a quick motion of his arm each one would quickly dart toward his enemy either slicing or piercing their flesh.
Erebos Armor - Through the use of shadows this power allows Markas to call forth black mist which forms around his body and when the mist dissipates he is transformed, into a supernatural warrior of darkness clad in light heavy spiked armor and claws.
Wings of Shadow - Upon him invoking the shadows this power allows Markas to form a large set of bat like wings enabling him flight. Upon summoning them these shadowy wings can carry him long distances.
Shadow Lash - With this power Markas is able to utilize the form of several tentacles from the shadows. Using them to lacerate the flesh of his enemies or to ensnare them rendering them immobile.
Spheres of Erebos - These deep glowing crimson spheres of dark power manifest from Markas' hands at a time two can be summoned and thrown, toward his enemies upon throwing them they will relentlessly track an enemy, upon impact they will cause great pain and agony to his enemies should the enemy be weak and the pain becomes too great for them to bare. their body seemingly implodes from the inside out.
Creeping Shadows - Upon him invoking the shadows this power allows Markas to call forth the serpents from his arms or back. Upon calling them forth they move with blinding speed toward his victims from there they use their powerful jaws to entrap his victims arms and legs.
Demon Arm - Upon him invoking the shadows this power allows Markas to call forth the shadows from either of his arms. Upon summoning them they immediately form into a large solidified hellish arm with a large sharpen claw which either dismembers or impales his enemies.
Circle of Darkness - Upon him invoking the shadows this power allows Markas to call forth a black hole made entirely of shadows from either behind or on either side of his enemies. The black hole immediately begins spiraling backward sucking in his enemies(up to three at a time) to entrap them within. After a few moments the black hole implodes launching his enemies in all directions.
Shadow Blast - With this power Markas can gather dark energy from the surrounding area between his hands, which subsequently takes the form of a large, black globe. The globe when released fires a large wave of dark energy. When gathered in one hand the blast is less powerful however when in both hands the blast is powerful enough to obliterate a building.
Dark Sanctuary - With this spell Markas creates a portal that appears before him no matter where he is. With a mere thought the portal takes him to two places of his choosing Graves Mansion or the Shadow Sanctuary located in the realm of shadow.
