I had a Yamaha V-Star 1300 (my first cruiser) and got hit head on by a woman driving a car trying to cross 6 lanes of traffic. I was going 35 miles an hour. As we were about to collide everything slowed down as I hit the rear break, turned my bike sideways and jumped off landing on her hood on my knees and elbows. As it was happing all I could think was "Thank you Lord". I ended up without a scratch and actually tried to calm the driver down and help her from the shock of my face being inches from hers through the windshield. She cracked my pipes, dented my tank, bent my handlebars, and ultimately totaled my bike out. But after the police left the scene I drove it limping along to the gym where I worked out for 2 hours straight. Then I called my wife and told her what happened. She's still mad at me for not calling her sooner :) Took two years of consistent and regular riding to overcome the PTSD. But now praise the Lord riding is stress free once again! :)
